Well, this is saving me from having to continue writing my next review (which is still coming this week). Also, I had no idea this was even going around but what the hell lets have fun.

So, the one who nominated me for this -thanks for that- was lazarinth (fantasyandanime). Other than the fact that we had a short discussion on how much Elfen Lied sucks he’s a stranger to me. Which is why I feel all the more honored he nominated me. He asked some very .. well, interesting questions which I’m gonna answer.

1) Where would you rather be right now? Two meters to my right. Cause that’s where my bed is. Also, yes, meters, my dear american audience.

2) If you had the perfect story, which medium would you want to see it portrayed in? Manga, obviously. Heh.

3) What has been your most popular post? Please link it. Yay shameless advertising. You’re not gonna know what it is until you click it :>

4) Do you have a favorite fact about science? If so, what is it? Yes, actually I do. And it’s more of a law than a fact: You can not, never ever, prove something to be true. Rather, a theory is treated as true as long as it is not refuted.

5) On average, how many hours do you think you spend masturbating a week? Yes. That’s the actual question, and I’m gonna answer that. Please don’t sue me for harassment. Firstly, we have to establish if the time looking at porn is included. If so, about 2 hours, I guess? If not, 15 minutes? Something along those lines. There you have it. The internet is the Devil.

6) What’s your favorite book? Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.

7) What’s your favorite food? Viennese Schnitzel. Hurray for Austria!

8) What’s your stance on religion? Hahahaha this is gonna be fun. First off I wanna make clear that I don’t want to be part of any movement, classification or denominations. I refuse to be called Atheist just as much as I refuse to be called Christian. That is because I have a very specific mindset and I am not going to tailor my mindset and my beliefs to fits into a group or classification. And if there is a group or classification that fits perfectly to my beliefs I am not going to declare myself a part of it because my beliefs are changing and it is not so important to me as that I would make the efforts to search for people who have the same mindset as me. By now you can probably see where this is going, and I won’t tell you everything I think about religion, cause that’s too much. Rather, some facts: I don’t have a problem with anyone being religious as long as the person doesn’t try to force their beliefs on other people. The right to free speech only holds as long as it doesn’t hinder or discriminate others. Yeah. That’s in the human rights declaration. Right beside the right to free speech. Also, if someone does something awesome or I dunno, saves your life, don’t thank God for it for fucks sake. Hope you’re satisfied.

9) Are you (even partially) addicted to anything? The TV. I can’t concentrate without a TV running somewhere in the apartment. I turn it on when I wake up and it continues to be on until I go to sleep. It’s on when I work on my manga and it’s on when I write for my blog.

10) How many vowels are in your name? Well if you’ve ever read a post of mine you know my name. So go count.

11 random facts about me: (1) I try to become a professional mangaka (2) By the time I was 15 I’ve read over 700 books, children’s books and school books excluded (3) I haven’t read a book in 3 years (4) I collect craft beer (5) I’ve been to 7 music festivals (6) I once crafted an eagle out of clay (6) I have a snowboard that’s longer than I am tall (7) The chances that I am taller than you are very high (8) I hate when people text while watching a movie or series and then ask me what happened (9) I once gave a dude 5 euros for a small elephant figurine after he told me it was the international Bob Marley day. Not too long ago an anime called Nisekoi came to an end. Adapted by studio Shaft from the manga sharing the same name, it was a harem anime in the purest of senses. Every episode more or less featured the most common clichés you can find in harem series and the whole premise – a forgotten childhood love – is built to create misunderstandings and hijinks. Not to mention how it throws in a forced fake relationship just for the heck of it.

It may sound like the most unexciting series ever created which is not difficult to understand – after all, there is only so much you can do with the barebones framework Nisekoi sets up – yet I still love every second of it.

The 30 Day Anime Challenge, just a bit more compact [Woohoo!]

Sooo… as I’ve announced in my last review, in celebration of me managing to keep this blog up for 10 reviews, I’ll do the 30 Day Anime Challenge. Just with minor changes. And compressed into a single post. Have fun!

Keep in mind that for most of these the answer could’ve been found in Berserk, but since the anime is actually pretty meh ill exclude it.

The very first anime I’ve watched: Starting off with a tricky question. If I go by what I’ve consciously watched as an anime, it’d be Darker than Black. Unconsciously probably Biene Maja, a children’s TV-show co-produced by the austrian TV-channel ORF and some japanese and german studios. But since both of these answers are pretty halfassed, it’s probably either Pokemon, Dragonball or Sailor Moon.

Favorite Anime I’ve watched so far: Simple. Bakuman. Though it snatched the 1st place from Steins;Gate and GTO.

Favorite Male Anime character ever: Ugh. That’s a hard one. Firstly, consider the whole male cast of Bakuman as so awesome they’re not permitted to participate in the contest. Other than that there’s Eikichi Onizuka and Okabe Rintaro, but first is probably Tatsumi Saiga of Speed Grapher.

Favorite Female Anime character ever: Nana Osaki. Next.

Anime I’m ashamed I enjoyed: I’m not ashamed of anime at all. Cause anime is in general pretty whacky. But if there was one I wouldn’t want to watch with other people it’d be Kiss X Sis. But only because it’s borderline hentai.

Anime I want to see but haven’t yet: The last 2 parts of Kara no Kyoukai.

My anime crush: Nishino Tsukasa from Ichigo 100%, if anyone.

Favorite Anime couple: Okabe Rintaro and Makise Kurisu. Those two are awesome even by themselves, so it’s only logical they’d be great together right?

Best Anime villain: The trees from Zetsuen no Tempest.

Favorite Fighter Anime: Dragonball. Duh.

Favorite Mech Anime: Hate me all you Mech fans but I haven’t seen many. So I’ll just go with a show that was awesome as is and just happened to have mechs in it: Code Geass.

Saddest Anime scene: Nagisas death from Clannad: Afterstory. can’t get any more obvious, can it?

Anime Character I am most similar to: Ohhh I was looking forward to this one. Akito Takagi from Bakuman. He has similar humor to mine, is smart (I like to think of myself as smart) and best of all I too try to advance a story only with the setting when writing manga. Also, he’s tall and blond, so yeah, perfect fit.

Anime that never gets old no matter how many times I’ve rewatched it: Bakuman. Obviously. I’ve rewatched that thing over 10 times and read the manga just as often. I know every single line by heart, be it the japanese original or the english dub. I’m rather proud of that.

Favorite Animal Sidekick, pet or summoning from any Anime: Marie from Onegai! Teacher.

Anime with the best Animation: That’s pretty obvious. Anything by Ufotable. As well as K.

Favorite Supporting Male Anime character:  Fukuda Shinta from Bakuman.

Favorite Supporting Female Anime character: The Landlady from Saint-Oniisan.

Most epic scene ever: The entirety of Dragonball Z.

Anime character that gets on my nerves: Reiji Azuma of Phantom: Reqiuem. He’s always passive. And if he’s not, he’s an idiot. That gets on your nerves if you have to watch that idiot for 26 episodes. Also, the entire cast of Fairy Tail.

Favorite Goofy Anime character: I have a hard time finding anyone here to be honest. Maybe something like, every Shonen character ever? I’ll just give you Rivalz Cardemonde from Code Geass.

Favorite Weapon, Gear or Armor used in an Anime: The broom-glaive or whatever the fuck you want to call it, used by a maid in Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou.

Favorite attack someone used in an Anime: Kamehameha. Seriously is that even a question?

The moment that shocked me the most in any Anime: Everyone dying at the end of Berserk. There, I still got Berserk in here somehow.

Saddest Anime Death: Again, Nagisa. Also again, everyone in the eclipse in Berserk. Except for the apostels of course.

Best Anime Fight: I’m one of the people who go for the Cell saga rather than Frieza. So, Gohan vs. Cell in Dragonball Z.

Most Badass Scene from any Anime Character: Hououin Kyouma every time he laughs.

Favorite Quote from any Anime character: Salmon Pink! by Akito Takagi.

An Anime I wished was real: Seriously, need you even ask? Pokemon of course. But only the first few seasons.

An Anime I wished would never end and continued on: . But not really. The end is important so none really. I wish I could live Bakuman though…

That was an anitclimactic end huh? Well, take from this what you want. But mainly you should take from this that I like Bakuman, Dragonball, Steins;Gate and Berserk.
